Top 5 Sandwiches
Look, this website is essentially a way to showcase my ability as a writer and everyone knows your website ain’t shit unless it’s got a list. So, here goes.
5: The B.L.T.
The standard Bacon, Lettuce, Tomato is a staple in modern American cuisine. I don’t really like tomatoes and lettuce is purely for texture, let’s be real. This sandwich is all about the bacon, baby.
4: Ham & Cheese
Known colloquially in my house as The Great Equalizer. From blue collar workers to hipsters with neck beards at tech startups, everyone can agree that this is a classic staple of American cuisine.
3: Italian Combo
Salami, ham, capicola, provolone, the Italian combo has little bit of everything and is a real people pleaser. Despite it’s name I couldn’t imagine a menu looking right without this American staple of cuisine.
2: Peanut Butter & Jelly
Peanut butter and grape jelly. Almond butter and strawberry preserves. Apple butter and a mango habanero spread. The rich and diverse number of flavor combinations of this classic American staple of modern cuisine is absurd. Yet it’s simplicity is what earns the ol PB&J the second spot on our list.
1: Grilled Cheese
It’s hard imagine anything more American than this staple of culinary cuisine. ‘Nuff said.
